On Di\u00e1s Island in the Kis-Balaton area, you can find the memorial house dedicated to Istv\u00e1n Fekete, the author of “T\u00fcskev\u00e1r,” and Uncle Matula’s hut, familiar from the novel.<\/p>\n

The Magical World of Uncle Matula<\/h2>\n

Di\u00e1s Island is located in the Kis-Balaton area, southwest of Lake Balaton, much of which enjoys protected status. The area is renowned for its marshy landscape and significantly fluctuating water levels.<\/p>\n

The island can be accessed from the direction of S\u00e1rmell\u00e9k, at the intersection of highways 71 and 76. Hidden within its groves, visitors can find the memorial house dedicated to Istv\u00e1n Fekete, where they can get a glimpse into the famous author’s study. Fans of “T\u00fcskev\u00e1r” can visit Uncle Matula’s hut not only in their imagination but also in reality and explore the area’s natural treasures. This part of Kis-Balaton can be visited on guided tours organized with the permission of the Balaton Uplands National Park Directorate.<\/p>\n
